2. The Service
Docently provides an AI assistant that answers questions using a customer's public website content. Answers are generated automatically and may contain errors or omissions; they are not professional advice and should not be relied upon as the sole basis for decisions. Authoritative information is the source content on the customer's website.
3. Acceptable use
- Do not misuse the Service, attempt to disrupt or overload it, or probe it without authorization.
- Do not use the Service to submit unlawful content or to infringe others' rights.
- Do not attempt to extract the underlying models or use the Service to build a competing model.
4. Intellectual property
Docently and its software, branding, and content are owned by Docently and its licensors. Customer website content remains the property of the customer; Docently processes it solely to provide the Service.
5. Privacy
Our handling of data is described in the Privacy Policy, incorporated by reference.
6. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that answers are accurate, complete, or uninterrupted.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Docently is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from reliance on automated answers.
8. Changes
We may update these Terms; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. We will update the “Last updated” date above.
9. Governing law
